I worked as the Online Assistant Editor on this film.  Being that I was an essential part of the process of finishing this documentary; and being that I am a fan of Patti Smith, I thought it would be great to make a trailer for this film, which honors one of the most artistic and influential voices in American music and poetry.  This trailer is my own individual work, and is not the official studio trailer.

Patti Smith: Dream of Life was a winner of the 2008 Sundance Film Festival Excellence in Cinematography Award: Documentary

Jam Master Jay – A Tribute

Jam Master Jay – A Tribute

Jam Master Jay, A Tribute is a short documentary film that I produced, shot and edited in the wake of Jam Master Jay’s untimely death in 2002. When I heard the news on the radio that morning, I grabbed my video camera gear and hopped on a train to Jamaica Queens NYC and I interviewed fans of his, who assembled to pay their final respects, outside of the recording studio in which he worked.

Examples of my motion graphic work with Photoshop and After Effects, can be seen by watching this video from :00 to :60 seconds.

And Hip Hop For All!

And Hip Hop For All

Here is a short film that I produced and edited, about positive hip hop culture in New York City and New Jersey.

And Hip Hop For All is a short documentary film that I produced, shot and edited in 2002. It is about a relatively unknown hip hop scene that exists for higher purposes. This culture attracts people of different colors in the spirit of unity and encourages women to compete as equals with men. Unity! Fun! Competition!
